Characteristics Sweet marjoram is particularly valuable for the comforting and warming properties. The spicy, herbaceous top notes with the warm, woody camphoraceous undertones are very soothing to the emotions, helping to calm over-sensitivity and easing nervous tension or stress. Sweet marjoram is excellent in massage and creates a warming effect by dilating the blood vessels. It can be very beneficial for relieving tired and aching muscles after sport activity. It can help the flow of subtle energy throughout the body encouraging inner strength and endurance to surface. When used in a bath blended with lavender , it can promote a peaceful nights sleep. 
Contraindications Sweet marjoram has anti-spasmodic properties and should be avoided throughout pregnancy.
Blends well with Bergamot , lavender , rosemary, chamomile, ti tree , eucalyptus, clary sage , and frankincense .
